Mxq no sound

Hi - first time here so apologies if ive missed this answer
I have an S805 Mxq box just bought from ****.
My tv is a samsung b650.
I cant get any sound to my tv through hdmi, composite input works fine (awful quality) and the box gives audio through hdmi on other tvs just not my 650. Im wondering if theres a setting Ive missed (tried all passthrough options) or if another box would be any different.
If I use a miracast dongle I get sound no problem and other devices work well too.
Any advice greatly appreciated

Why path-through to the samsung b650?
I found out that it only supports stereo (every other seems to be effects)?

Maybe I misunderstood you, but you wrote:

and because the TV only supports stereo, pass-through is wrong, but you also wrote:

So I don't understand what you talk about / what you have done...
