I found the possible fw for the suntech cx-a99 (allwinner a80 tvbox)
I thought.. why not post it here.. might be usefull to developers or contain a better optimized version of xbmc?

I have not tried Airplay yet (I don't really use it as I have the mirror cast box if I want to do that). But I will mess with Airplay this week.

I will say the HPH box is nice and seems to be well supported by Nagrace! Tough choice between the two boxes. They are both top notch. But I really like this A80!

      Hi Bob,
Did you manage to test out the air play support? Do they use allcast or fireair or which receiver app built-in? Any other pros and cons you are able to share?

There seems to be more a80 boxes out there now with rikomagic and another which is the cx-a99, but I am assuming they are all the same, so probably tronsmart would be still be a better option in comparison?

Just wondering as I plan to put in my order for a telos these 2 days during the black Friday sale. So any response would be highly appreciated.
      thanks

Is the Telos worth the extra cash over the rest of the competition, or even the Draco?

It really depends on what you put an emphasis on for your box of choice. I picked it since I don't have a NAS and I wanted something with a little more RAM if I decide to run Linux on it. With 4GB of RAM and extremely fast network stack (both wired and wireless), it was the choice for me, and man does it run!

Fastest network speed I've seen in a while, so definitely worth it for me!

Now, given that the box is so new, it still requires some work on the decoders. But with Finless and the guys all over the box, I have high hopes! I just hope The Tronsmart people come through on a new and highly optimized Linux image soon. That's to say, it's decoding most of what I throw at it without much issue, but I'm not sure it's the 4K box (yet?). And I love how the box doesn't even get close to warm!

So the Telos can run Linux too? I used to have a linux system on a thumb drive and ran it on my widows laptop(boot priority). Could I do this with the Telos as well?

Yes, it can run Linux too. However, it's still in the early stages. But word on the street is that Tronsmart is working on a revised version which should be heaps better than the current Beta.

There's a thread here about it.
The thread mentions that you can boot it into Linux from an SD card, however, it might not be possible from a USB stick (non-detailed driver issue).
