ANYONE HAVE TROUBLE WITH MOUSE/KEYBOARD (AIR MOUSE)?

My first keyboard/air mouse was an Rii K25A which always had interference problems with my Beelink S82. It seemed to get worse over the first few days until it became totally useless and then I sent it back. I assume I just got a bad one but I don't really know for sure.

My second keyboard/air mouse which I am still using is a Tronsmart TSM-G62C. There is a lot to like with the design. However, once again I think the electronics are starting to fail! After about two weeks I started having to re-plug in the mouse receiver dongle from time to time when I started the S82. Now, after a month of ownership I have to re-plug in the dongle every time. Just today I notice the indicator lights on the remote were telling me there was no connection even though the pointer still worked. At least the pointer would work for awhile, then suddenly freeze. Pressing the OK button a couple times would cause it to work again, even though the indicator was telling me there was no connection.

I am getting discouraged with these devices. Has anyone else had problems with air mouse-keyboard reliability?

BTW, the basic remote that came with the Beelink S82 - I often have to jiggle the batteries to get it to work. <sigh>

You are also using WiFi? 2.4GHz?
You should try to place the receiver dongle as fare as possible away from the box e.g. with a USB-extension-cord or USB-hub....

I am using 2.4 GHz WiFi for the Internet connection. All these remote devices seem to be 2.4 GHz. Do all of these little boxes have interference problems between wifi and 2.4 GHz mouse dongles?

I tried the extension usb cable on the Rii K25A and that helped for a while but the device eventually became unresponsive even with that. I just now attached the usb cable to the Transmart dongle and it seems to be working properly. Hopefully it won't deteriorate further like the Rii.

Now the Tronsmart TSM-G62C has failed completely! It refuses to synchronize with its dongle. Using an extension usb cable helped for a day or so but now - complete failure. As a cross check I tried it on my Windoze 7 system and the problem remains.

Help me out, here. When I found my air mouse not working on system start-up I unplugged the dongle from the S82 and after a few moments plugged it back in. That cured the problem but then the instances requiring this cure gradually increased until I needed to do it every time. Could hot-plugging the dongle cause damage? I have never seen instructions advising not doing this, or doing it differently.

This is rather disappointing, having two air mouse/keyboards fail so quickly. The Rii K25A failed within the 30 day return period and I was able to get my money back but the Tronsmart failed just a few days beyond the 30 day return period. Darn!

I have been using a Logitech K400r keyboard simultaneously with these air mouse/keyboards and the Logitech has never faltered once.

I had the same issue with my tronsmart TSM-01. It is easily resolved if you by an extension cable and make sure the usb receiver is at least 1 meter away from the tv box or other device you are using it with.
Some of the better air mice come with an extension cable in the package but the TSM-01 doesn't which adds to the confusion. With an extension cable it works smooth and without issues.

Both the Rii and Tronsmart air mouse devices were connected via an extension usb cable, as previously described. Both failed anyway! I have been using the Vigica MX3 for about six months, also using the usb extension cable, and it continues to work fine.
