    All about the Audio

Hey all. Been on a hunt for a new media solution and the Draco AW80 is a finalist.

I would be most appreciative if some of you can clearly and directly comment on this device's audio capabilities.

    To be more specific:

    1.
Can this device pass-through (bitsteam) DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD 7.1ch via HDMI or S/PDIF? I basically want the option for my receiver to do the audio decoding. I want the Draco to spit out raw data and the receiver handle the rest. Can it do this now out of box? If not, do you think it a hardware or firmware limitation?

    2.
If there is system decoding of DTS (as in it will play a MKV file w/DTS 5.1 via XMBC or native player) will that be hard or soft decoded by the Draco, and will it be downmixed to 2.0?

I want a device to last me a few years with top end true 1080p video and true 7.1 audio until I dive into 4K - this is why no HDMI 2.0 is not a dealbreaker for me.

Appreciate all the info and tweaks that have been posted thus far. Having a healthy user community is another big factor in my search.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hi, I have no answers for you, but have a request, that if on your journey for answers, find if the audio capabilities include HD audio, 96khz or 192khz 24 bit... please let us know. I can't seem to find this info anywhere.
