Not every system event is logged otherwise there would be "flood" in log file. If you know were to look for this "mute bug" and in which application/subsystem enable debug log then don't be shy a share with us .

Ugoos software team probably with help from RockChip caught that bug but they rather will not share solution with a man working over Android Box from their competitors which even lost support from their manufacturers.

Can you watch 1080p video with 60fps in YouTube application? I can only access 720p60.

On some youtube videos it's an option to switch to 1080p. On my Tronsmart R28 with the Wasser 2.0.7 rom the 1080p youtube videos skip. I'll try this on 2.0.9a and see if I have the same issue. I'm using gigabit ethernet with a 100Mbps connection so I don't think it's my internet speed.

Is there honestly no resolution to this mute bug without using some third party volume locker? It's a bit ridiculous, considering that bug has always been there...has wasser ever taken a look at the logcats from the people that attached them to this thread?

Ouch. Be kind. The 3rd party app works great. He can't reproduce it. It's tough to fix what you can't reproduce.

Well its simple: an hour before I flashed 209a rom, on 208 there was no such issue; meaning that ROM is the problem.
Did anyone solve that issue?

I have seen it occur on 2.0.8. Are you using an AV receiver? If so what's the brand?

As I mentioned, the sound "disappears" it doesn't go mute. Than I have to restarts.

You should be able to increase volume with icons on the bottom System bar (speakers).
It is known "mute bug". I can not recall in which versions of Wasser's firmware it is happening. Newest Lolipop also isn't free from those occurences.

Does anyone have same issue and/or solution to it, besides going back to 2.0.8?

How do increased memory in, while it only 2gb help

Which memory do you want to increase? IIRC on almost all Wasser's ROMs internal SD is emulated and can us whole userdata partition (up to 6 or 14 GB for 8GB and 16GB TV BOX version respectively).
If you mean RAM it is soldered to the board and without skilled electronic technican you can't upgrade it's capacity.

I am using version 2.09a since you post it with no issues but suddenly AC3 and DTS stopped working in PLEX

I don't know what happent, one day it worked fine and the next day it didn't. I re flashed 2.09a but problem still there.

I thought that the problem might be by a newer version of PLEX so I flashed 2.08 to see if I will get the problem there too (I didn't have such problem with 2.08 when I was using it in the past). No problem in version 2.08, it works fine.

Over the past three weeks and after doing much more testing on 2.0.7, 2.0.8, 2.0.9a "Volume Lock & Control" has fixed my muting issues on SPDIF and HDMI passthrough out on my Panasonic TVs, Yamaha AV receivers, and Pioneer Receiver. This has even passed the kids and wife test. Things always break for them when I leave the house. I tried other Volume lock apps and they didn't work. Wasser I wouldn't spend anymore time trying to fix it. Maybe install the "Volume Lock & Control" app by default. SPMC 14.2 is running flawlessly over wired LAN. Very good ROM! I'd say you've made the perfect ROM for video playing.
