MK908II Problems Please Help

i have a mk908ii with stock 4.22 rom and a tsm01 airmouse. since i got it i regularly get a msg saying 'Select Keyboard Layout' also all browsers randomly reload pages or crash, apps sometimes crash as well. the airmouse stopped working often an i had to unplug and replug the reciever for it to start working again, i have since attached the airmouse via an otg cable and it has started to work consistently but the browsers reloading/crashing and apps crashing (less than browser) as well as the regular Select Keyboard msg still persists

does anyone know what might be causing these issues? should i install the updated stock firmware or a finless rom or is my device possibly defective?
