Ok I.m a total newbie to all this. I picked this box up used the other day to get me started. After one day the thing got stuck in a boot screen. The reset does nothing. I've been on google for the past 2 days trying to find what it is and looking for firmware but have come up with nothing. any help or info would be great. Thanks

Hello, Get the board number and version(V1, V1.1, etc) and try searching using something like "tv box allwinner a10". Add the board number as well. After using your search engine, hopefully you will find it. A view of the box's exterior sides and top, may help others ID it. Good luck.

The box looks like this. The only thing I see on the board is BA10_TV_BOX_V1.2 but still can't seem to find anything on it.

        Looks alot like this one...

Though looks alone may be inadequate for determining what ROMs to use. There is a firmware for DL at the link, but You will have to determine it's suitability .

From what I can see of your box, this one looks identical(the black one) and has an Allwinner A10 like yours.

        Another example on alibaba's site.

Came across this on on geekbuying....

            Have a look.
Maybe geekbuying(Eric) could help you locate the firmware.

              Reset Button...

You said it did nothing when pressing reset? How did you do the reset? Also, is there a card in the slot(remove it)? I would also unplug any non essential peripherals(keyboard, usb card reader, etc). Some boxes, to enter recovery, require that the box be unplugged(power), then press an hold reset and while keeping the reset button pressed, plug the power back in.
I am not recommending that in your case, as I don't know if it could leave your box worse off or not. If you try it, it will be at your own risk.
It may also be a good idea to swap HDMI cables if you have another. If you have a multi-meter, you could check to make sure the power adapter is putting out the correct voltage. Otherwise, try another adapter rated at the same output voltage, amp and plug tip polarity.
              Good luck.

Ok so after looking on google for days and not really finding a clear answer I just decided to flash it with something and see what happens lol. I only payed 15 bucks for the box so it wasn't like it would be a big deal if I bricked it. Anyways flashed it with firmware for this box (Mele Smart TV Box A10 v2.0.4 Metro) and at first boot from what I can see its running fine other then the wifi. Any suggestions on similar firmware that I could try that may work?
