109k4 ROM was removed from Tronsmart.com (update - online again)

They removed 109k4 firmware download for Tronsmart Vega S89 Elite/Standard and S89-H from the Support section without any explanations. It happened on 28.11.2014. Does someone know why?

Wild guess the amilogic codec and Bluetooth issues were the likely reason.

Playback on many video apps like netflix is worse and thebluetooth problem affected enough devices they probably decided to yank it.

Noticed that yesterday too, when I needed the .img file, because I had bricked the device.
So I used the 108 file and updated immediately to 109.
Regarding to the video quality, since I have no comparison, is the 108 really worth a try?

If you use netflix or plex your going to notice the difference in the video area.

Something in 109k4 fubars netflix and reduces the playback output and causes audio sync issues with plex.

Ah ok, so it doesn't affect me, since I don't use Netflix or Plex.
Mx Player is ok?

Since mx uses its own codecs it is unaffected basically.

Highly doubt it its more likely just the 110k bluetooth update.

Still you never know so its always worth trying and its easy to go back to other firmwares.

Its basically a copy of the beelink with some tronsmart logo's.

Hi, i have confirmed it's not a new version, the next new version will be 111k4 and debug many problems, it's ongoing.
For 109k4, recommend to use OTA or SD card to update.

3.Ethernet MAC (No need to modify Ethernet MAC by tool ,it can be produced by FW automatically and be unique)

6.Fix some issues on the streaming APP,such as Hulu,BBC News,vudu…
7.Many fixes on multimedia playing..
8.Other little tweaks.

They are the same hardware if there s89 or s82 but you may awhile just download the s82 which is also out

Same firmware for both with boot and picture images added for either model being the only difference.
Although tronsmart does now and then do something stupid.

Also the recovery is a little messed up so flashing from the reset buttion on bootup may not work.

You can flash from the update in settings or the ota flasher in the apps if you downloaded and unziped the update to the sd card.
