I finally managed to get my lan working with the tablet, had to leave windows homegroup. Using ES File explorer to stream windows media 1080p wtv TV recorded files to tablet thru MX player.
I can backup programs to internal memory and then move to PC on lan or nas box but not a direct route yet. Could write to USB memory stick this way and use an app that allows reads from ( not writes) to install apks .
Thought about making a portable WiFi or Bluetooth media server using ssd or 32g sd, reinventing the wheel. Google portable media server. Keep the kids busy in the car.
Add a solar powered charger and rough it. GPS terrain map.
