[ROM][PMID701C]Unbloated Factory ICS 701C ROM (flasheable with Live Suite)

To all: This is my first ROM attempt, so please be gentle. I've managed to recreate the factory ICS image for the 701C.
    Requirements:
Live Suite-If you don't know what it is or how to flash, visit the Polaroid support site.

    What works:
    1. Removed preinstalled apk files. NY Times, Moviefone, etc. have *all* been removed and can be added via Google Play.
    2. Added a useable (albeit older) version of Google Play.
    3. Added Root/Superuser.apk by default.
    4. Build.prop changed to Nexus 7 (for Google Play purposes).

    What doesn't work (somewhat):
    1. Google Play-This admittedly needs a bit of help-I experienced a few issues with wifi connection/Market updating to Google Play (I had to shutdown/reboot the tablet once or twice). I noticed the way around this was to either shutdown/restart a few times or to let the tablet 'settle' for a few minutes before I attempted to connect to Wifi and/or sign into Google Play.
    2. Wifi (possibly related to #1). Though Wifi *did* eventually work, I had to shutdown/start up the tablet a few times. What *seemed* to solve this was to let the tablet sit for a few minutes before doing anything with it. Not sure why this is happening (perhaps because the stock ICS kernel on the Polaroid site is 4.0.3??).

With that said, feel free to give it a spin and provide feedback.

P.S. if you're a developer and have some tips for me, feel free-I've clearly only gotten a BASIC understanding of cooking and haven't even delved into boot.img, init.rc and/or recovery.img manipulation yet...

Re: [ROM][PMID701C]Unbloated Factory ICS 701C ROM (flasheable with Live Suite)

I think the reason it takes a few minutes to work out the bugs is that the ROM is building the cache. I'll give it a shot.

Sent from my Polaroid 701c tablet running CM10

EDIT: Well it installed just fine and works just fine, what I did was boot the rom, wait about 5 minutes, connected to wifi, added my account, launched market, closed market waited for about 5 minutes for market to update itself to Play, after that I had no problem.

I tried something on my own, and tried to make a CWM zip for this rom, and got it working. It flashed this ROM with no problems, except when I ran it thru kitchen it made changes to the build.prob to revert it back to Polaroid...If you want I can try to change the build.prop back to to what you had and upload the cwm.zip.

Wait, are you saying you were able to flash CWM recovery into the ROM? If so, sweet! CWM recovery was going to be my next step to include in the ROM. If that's what you accomplished, just send me the zip and I can change the build.prop on my own. :-)

Sad thing is now I can't duplicate it..it worked when I posted, but after trying a few things with kitchen, I'm getting a Error in CWM calling it a status 0.

But what I did for dsixda's Android Kitchen, v0.206 on my Ubuntu system, was make a cwm backup, then used the system.ext4.tar and boot.img from the backup in the original_update folder. then ran the kitchen. I'm going to take a break from it for a bit...hopefully I figure out what I did later on
