    Accents and physical (bluetooth) keyboard?

Hi, so my primary language is English but I live in Mexico so Spanish figures strongly into my life at the moment. I also write in Catalan sometimes. As such I have a need for accents such as é, á and others. I have been able to use accents on Android devices before while using my bluetooth keyboard (Logitech K810), sometimes more easily than others I'll admit, but I can't seem to get them working with the R89. I have tried the way accents are used on a Windows computer (which works on some android devices), I have also tried long pressing the keyboard keys, but nothing works, either using the Android stock keyboards or swiftkey's keyboard.

I was hoping someone could offer some help/suggestions. Oh, but please don't suggest using auto-complete/suggestions to compensate by letting the system decide when I need accents. The system has a problem predicting all my words correctly so I have it turned off and I doubt adding accents to the mix will help with the predictions.

    Thanks.

I have no idea if it will help at this problem but maybe you should have a look at 'External Keyboard Helper'

normally it's to use it to match the printed layout at the keyboard to the system, but maybe it could also help to fix the missing characters/action at the existing layout because you are using there layout (I think you know what I mean )???

      Thanks!!
It works perfectly. I don't actually care what's printed on the keyboard. I'm a touch typist used to switching between four different layouts via software (switching physical keyboards would be a real PITA).

This allows me to switch through three of them (the fourth is actually just a Spanish variant often found in Mexico which I don't like since it's missing accents/characters which I sometimes need in general dor when writing in Catalan). It gives me the same functionality for accents as HTC devices (but more stable/consistent).
