Chinese TV box recommendation

I'm looking for my first android TV box and I'm pretty confused with so menu choices. Found these two and I'm interested, price is fine but no info about manufacturer:

Would I be able to find ROM for generic device? Is there some recommendation for most popular - commonly used TV box?

Important specs for me:
1080p, min 2xUSB ports, built in wireless and LAN port, XBMC, Youtube, ability to root.

Can you explain in detail what am I getting with this more expensive devices? As I could see cheapest is about 90$. What is the difference between those and this for example:

I need only basic stuff, play some movies over network and occasionally youtube.

The stick you posted in this post is very old 4GB, the operating system will take about 1.8GB so that would leve you very little space to do anything they crash a lot & are very slow
The box's I showed you are 16GB & very fast
The cheapest device I will recommend is the cx919 (Witch is a rely good device)

Is it possible to put custom ROM on this device because it's not branded?

Sorry I cant say if a custom rom will run on that device that's a clone so your guess is as good as mine it might & it might not.Saying that the stock rom might be good its gamble you take

Chinese TV box recommendation

It looks like OEM device, so probably made in same factory as some branded box. I'll try to find some device that is confirmed to flash with custom ROM. Maybe I don't even need that if factory ROM is working fine for what I need. I'm familiar with various chinese clones and possible issues, but I'm new to android TV boxes.
Thanks for advices! Anyone has something to recommend is welcome.

Chinese TV box recommendation

TV box arrived and it's great. Out of the box everything is working, rooted, google play store, xbmc plays all kind of files without problems. Firmware is 108k4, no chinese bloatware. Build quality is pretty good, great for this price. Only complain I have is the remote controller, it's not very sensitive and range is about 2m. Luckily I don't need it because I'm using wireless keyboard and mouse.
