Easiest way is to connect it to your PC and check if it is picked up as a mic under audio settings.

It has instructions for keys and voice. The voice function is listed as optional.

Both IR and voice functions work perfectly

Bart, could you be a little more helpful? We are trying to figure out the differences between these devices. I already re-posted the link to the MX3 user manual. Would you be willing to post the manual you have, provide a link or even post here the additional info from your user manual? Your help would be appreciated.

Arrr The blue button voice switch has not got a mic on mine it has an e (internet explorer symbol) so I guess mine has no mic :-(

Hey, thanks Bart! My unit also has the Internet Explorer key instead of the MIC activation key. So, there are two different models of this remote. The user manual you posted was almost the same as the regular MX3 and I didn't notice (in the midst of broken English) any indication that you could program more than five keys.

Well I can I use the volume keys to turn the volume up and down on my tv and so on.

Notice that this unit is an MX3-M. Here is another link on the same website for an MX3 which has the MIC symbol instead of the E symbol - and it's two dollars cheaper! http://www.tinydeal.com/mx3-24ghz-mi...-p-116227.html

I would LOVE to be able to control the volume on my HDTV with this remote.

Are you guys able to bind the colour keys at the bottom. They only seem to work, when the remote is in IR/TV function Would have liked, if I could bind them to different tasks in Kodi.

I am puzzled at your question. On my unit the four colored keys at the bottom and the Power button in the upper-left are the ONLY keys that can learn IR codes. On my unit those five keys always send IR codes. All the other keys are sent to the TV box through the USB 2.4 GHz air mouse/keyboard dongle.

If it helps any I have used the remote in Kodi. Press the Cursor Lock key and you should find the D-pad (directional pad) keys will work properly and the OK button will select the highlighted item. However, the eight keys above the Home key do not work for me in any context.

No wonder we are confused. Look at this page on **** for a Vigica MX3M. Look at all the pictures on that page and you will see some with the MIC key and some with the E key

Yes! And I remain surprised that any other keys work on your HDTV because they are intended to control the TV box.

Hey, Bart, you never did say what you are using for a TV box. Are you using an Android device or something else. If you remove the dongle from your machine you will only get to use the IR functions on the remote. On an Android device your volume control should not work with it disconnected.

Power and 4 colors buttons only.

Not true, i program all button i need from my tv remote. power,vol+/-, arrows to surf in tv menu, ok button, all numbers, mute, i take 'source' button and put to red button to switch from hdmi1(tv stick) to hdm2(pc) fastly. Test all working on rca, sony, samsung, lg and an old cheapest Emerson tv's.

First try the remote doesn't seem to enter in learning mode, i remove battery a puit put it back in all all work fine from there.

Very strengh signal event at 30 feet outdoor, i use to skip track in audio player.

Only one missing thing is a headphone jack or speaker to have a full functional voip sound input / output device. With my Nettalk app i could send voice but can't ear nothing through speaker( usb sound or stock hdmi output)

Obviously, you have a different model. It is unfortunate that the manufacturer and distributors fail to reveal the differences. Please see post #25.
