Minix X8/X8H Stock ROM 2.0A in flashable ZIP format

OK folks. Minix is releasing their ROMs as flashable images using the AML flash tool.

Unfortunately Windows 8.1 users have problems getting the drivers installed and the flash tool working.
I don't have Windows 8 so cannot test why the drivers are a problem.

But.... here is the new stock ROM A in ZIP update format.

This is the Minix X8 BETA 2.0A - 12/13 ROM just released.

NOTE: THIS WILL ERASE YOUR DEVICE! So backup anything you want to keep!
Minix is not releasing ZIP updates only flash tool updates. The flash tool erases the box!
There is a reason for this.
Major updates it is much better to erase as you don't know what junk is left from previous ROM that can cause problems! As people saw on an update that did not erase, things were not right like a missing stock browser, etc.

This is just the Standard/New rom from Minix I believe

Flashed, booted up and no more high temp problems..... Ethernet upto 78Mb/s, Wifi 2.4Ghz 42Mb/s, 5Ghz 61Mb/s.

Its working oke for now..... Have to do a little more testing, but I'm convinced this image is close to final.

Windows 8.1 users need to reboot into recovery mode and disable driver verification then reinstall burning tool just youtube it type how to desable driver verificarion on win 8.1

I did a clean install of your rom today and installed Kodi and video is all choppy. Why is that?
Is this a firware issue or just a Kodi issue???
Have your rom on my minix 7 to and there it runs with no problem.

Try the minix xbmc, that version is absolute not choppy

Had a little trouble with the 2a, so thought i would install the 2A, which installed A ok, but then i proceeded to do the Minix OTA update which was dated the 24th of Dec and after the release of the Fineless 2a
My question if i do Bobs' 2a will i have the same info installed or should i wait for the 2b version. Just cannot get my head around the Minix software after having Bob's for so long
