Auto boot on power restore / wake on lan?

    Hi there,

Got my R89 last week, hooked to a Denon AVR. So far I'm quite happy with it!

Use is mainly for Spotify (TV off, remote controlled using Spotify Connect) and video streaming (NetFlix, ...).

Main power of the TV/Denon AVR amp/subwoofer/BluRay/R89/ethernet switch/+ block is OFF when not in use.
The whole stuff is powered ON on-demand, using a Home Automation-controlled wall plug (could be scheduled, locally or remote controlled). However, the R89 stays OFF until the physical power button is pushed, which is in my case not optimal (and prevents me to fully remote control Spotify playback).

Is there a way to autoboot the R89 when power is back? or enable Wake-On-Lan?

The other stuff that is missing is the ability to directly control the AVR sound output level from the R89, but for that I guess that HDMI CEC support is required (next firmware?). Will try to hack around this limitation using keyboard layout tweaks/android keyboard helper/tasker and TCP connection to remote control the AVR sound level, unless somebody has a better idea!

    Thanks,
    Cedric

The box will start up automatically if there is power at the OTG (e.g. from PC, TV or active USB-hub ...) at that moment the box gets power by the psu...

Actually, even if the OTG trick works, that would be great to have a software solution too, to keep the OTG port available for something else

Oman, do you have some news on HDMI CEC support?

I think nothing easier like this:

              Sure !
Would be nice to avoid adding *another* power brick/hub just for that though
This is starting to be really crowded in the tv bench

oman: OK, will probably wait for a stock firmware update, thanks.

bajann: I have tronfy ubox 8 GB. IR remote works fine if that's the question. However I mostly use a Logitech K400r when TV is on.
