Hey Snakey, I had to flash this ROM in order to use my tablet away from home.

I erased NAND x 3, then flashed.

When it boots, it shows Arnova on spash screen, not Freaktab. Is that right? Is this the ROM you made from your ROM dump?

use the kernel for the 4 gig version .
then you have the freaktab logo.
because the internal space is the same with the 4 gig version.
if you use the 8 gig kernel the results are the same with the internal space but only with the original arnova logo

Hi Snakey

installed the rom 8gig boot. look really nice and icons work fine. very responsive.
only problem so far is web browsers. so far ive tried chrome, firefox, ics and dolphin browsers. all crash exept chrome, but that is really slow and dont refresh the pages.

Only browser that seems to work is Opera. fast and smooth.

Anyone else having this. What browser do you use thats compatible.

Ps. tried the 4 gig boot too. lol and can you include the stock video player.

the browsers i tried signed into my google account. could it be that?

opera really fast. not tried flash games using opera yet

I use Opera Mini most of the time because I like the download interface best. Whenever I want to look at a desktop version of a web page I use Dolphin. Flash works on Dolphin.

I never got Chrome to work right.

Don't bother with Dolphin for Tablets. It FC's every time.

Having some trouble flashing my Arnova 10b G3 with this ROM.

As per the first post, I deleted the boot.img and renamed 8gigboot.img to boot.img. The flash utility shows me this:



The readme says to 'click the EraseIBD.' I don't see how to do this. Proceeding ahead anyway, I hit run and get this:



I have attached the log of my attempts. Hopefully I'm just missing something obvious. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

if you open the tool have you the buttons, run erase idb or not.?
if not use a older tool.
some people have this, that's the buttons not coming up with windows 7.
i have windows 7 also, but i see the buttons.
but like i said some people not.

yeah , windows 7 and xp seem to have this problem . vista does not for me ,

i had no problems with email with this rom . snakekiller put it together so when he comes online he'll have an answer for you .

I installed the stock system apps and now it works. I even updated gmail to the newest version no prob. I would'nt have thought that I would need to install the stock apps first though.
