    Possibly bricked mbox mx box

    Hi
    Was given an MBOX MX box, G18ref. (Dual Core)
    Box seemed quite sluggish so tried updating with DroidPlayer firmware/software.
    Installation seemed to work fine but then rebooted box and DroidPlayer logo just seemed frozen onscreen.
    Rebooted again and nothing, tried toothpick method and DroidPlayer logo came back up but then just black screen.
    The red light on the box does not change to blue like it previously did.

    New to all this android box stuff and any help would be appreciated.

    So it booted so your in luck it's just downloading stock rom and hooking up to your pc and re installing software.
    Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

        I don't know that the MX can flashed via PC but you should have a look at

        it also works at pcb 'HD 18 v2.22'...

        I know somewhere at the deep at this sub-forum there also exists a version which only reformat/-partitioning the nand (but I have no idea where)...

        If I remember correctly it could also help, if you wait a longer time if you get a black screen (definitely more than 10 minutes)...

            hold the power button on the remote for 10 seconds the box will reboot.
