Bricked M8N - any hope? Picture attached.

Dear all.

I have a M8N here which I had Codesnake's OPENELEC running - yesterday I wanted to do an upgrade back to Android and during flashing we seriously had a power outage.

Now, when I plug in the Box, the blue LED lights on real quick and turns off. When I unplug the power cord, its does the same-> for 0.5 seconds the blue LED is on. No signal on TV, nothing. It really seems like it doesn't turn on at all.

Attached is a picture from the board. Is there any hope for this thing?

Hi there I had the same reaction from the box after trying to flash the eny m8n rom someone linked to on the site.
I have done it twice and managed to fix it by using a male to male usb cable and connecting the jumpers on the board for usb host.

I used usb burning tool with the minix beta rom img as I could not find a m8n img file to try to flash.

If you are on windows 8 the driver is hard to install there should be a file in the usbburningtool folder to make a driver that works.

Flash the minix beta file you might have to force erase on the burning tool then when its all done make sure you have a working rom to flash on your sd card and toothpick flash it as the minix rom does not boot on my box which is m9 m8 v1.0 hynix memory

Ps you only need to connect the male usb to your computer not the power or hdmi if you get stuck let me know and I will try to give better instructions with links to files.

The file to make the driver work on my win8 machine is C:\Program Files (x86)\Amlogic\USB_Burning_Tool\libusb-win32-bin-1.2.6.0\inf-wizard.exe

Should find the files if you google amlogictools.rar

And the file I used to recover on usb burning tool v2.0.0.140306alpha was x8_x8h_002beta9-2.img

I've read that some of you have same problems with your M8N. I just have access to my M8N through the laptop but I haven't found a firmware-image successfully imported to unbrick it. I've tried M8N_20141114_0119, MK808B Finless 2.1 ROM and M8-M8N-m8 remote-20150123 but I just had the message PARSE BURNING IMAGE FAIL.

Would you be able to provide a firmware-image that you know it can be sucessfully imported?

Seems I am in the same boat here with a Zoomtak T8 (was on stock Android 4.4.2)
power button turns blue but no output via hdmi or network and won't go into recovery
think he un-mounted the /system with mount-o remount,rw /system
but don't think he re-mounted It before powering it down, would that cause this problem? He just replaced the xbmc to kodi apk in pre install and deleted the 1tar.gz that restores the backup then exited out and assures me did nothing else at all and he's not new to ftp been using it for 7-8 years so I sorta trust what he says he did.

forgot to add he has the files from dumping the original rom via rooted command line 6 x img files boot,bootloader,logo,recovery,system & ubootenv

What can I do to get it to help me request
