Firmware for mine CX919II / CYX809III

Hey all,

I just bought the CX919III from ****. It came to me not rooted, so i wanted to root the device. When I tried that it wont work, so i decided to put a rooted rom on the device. When i did that i got no screen anymore. I read much forums especially from Freaktab, but i couldnt find any solution. Can someone please help me with the right rom and how to flash it excactly.

I found a ROM, but i get a bootloop. I see a black screen with Smart TV and then it restarts and keeps restarting.

I got the CX919II. I opend to read whats inside. It is a CYX_809III V5_2 20141105.

I hope for a solution. Many thanks in advance.

I ended up getting ripped off on **** by buying a cheap clone... it is described in this post the issues i had to even get the otg port to work... http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ashing-rooting

Anyway I used sam321s custom rom for it once i had soldered the pins together... so maybe his rom will work on yours. Take a look and see if the board is similar to those pics. Its rooted and no bloatware.

give it a shot maybe it will work on yours. here is a link to his thread with a download link in there somewhere. I'm still running it after 3 months, no issues.

Is there a way too root it after it? And what is the difference about this and the clone?

Damn... i spent two days trying to find a rom that works... now i at least have wifi workng. hope somebody can come up with a rom for this thing, but the stock 4.4.2 that im running now does the job... but the wifi does seem a bit slow

The stock 4.4.2 firmware seemed to be rooted from the getgo, at least thats what the Kingo root software told me when i started the root procedure... although i just re-rooted it and now it defenetly is rooted, i am running sixaxis just fine for my emulators

I installed the ROM from http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qW1A12W, and then i followed the steps from these guys http://www.kingoapp.com/index.htm
You´ll need an extra usb cable to power the device, and you have use the one that came stock for the ogt port when connecting to a computer. And a piece of tape to hold the new usb power cable in place, since the stock plug is longer than standart usb connectors

Step 1:
You have to power up your device while plugged in to a tv(so you can se what the hell you are doing on the device) then tap on the build nr in "about device" a certain number of times to unlock develeper settings where you can select "usb debugging mode" (guide from the kingo app)

Step 2:
Dowload and install http://www.kingoapp.com/index.htm on your pc, then run the program. Then plug the usb that came with the device (it is made to fit because of the antennas) in to the free ogt usbport and in to the computer. now under settings->usb select "connect to pc"

Step 3: Do what the kingo software tells you to do. And presto!

I wouldn't try any others. That's how all the rest of us got non-booting/boot looping devices.
