    XBMC freezes after inactive period

    Hi guys,
I've got an S89-h that I use almost exclusively as an XBMC mediaplayer.
However after a night of "sleep" XBMC (actually it's SPMC) has troubles waking up again.
With the remote I can easily go to the android home screen and everything android seems to be working fine, but XBMC is either frozn or seems to wake but malfunctions.
    Any idea what's going on?

    Hi, and welcome

    Could you give more info

    Version number.. Of spmc
    Firmware version of vega
Is your system rooted? (Have you given allow root to spmc always)
Does this occur everytime? Have you tried other versions?
What have you tried all ready?

I use the factory firmware, 109k4, so completely stock.
I believe this is rooted already by default?

SPMC is from the playstore so I believe this should be the latest version.

It seems to happen (after) every night, never during the daytime.
Now I think about it, the s89 is connected to my synology nas that powers off automatically during the night.
I think that might possibly be related.

I have the same setup, Synology NAS and S89. I have not experienced that, but I only have my NAS set up to sleep, not power down.

I've tried gotham, helix and spmc now, but whenever I turn on my TV in the morning gotham/helix/spmc has closed. Android is still running, and all I have to do is start gotham/helix/spmc again.

          Is this normal behaviour?
Is there a way to "fix" this?
I want gotham/helix/spmc to be there and stay there all the time.

(long story: I also use gotham/helix/spmc as an audio renderer to play music to via airplay. When gotham/helix/spmc has closed I can't play music, so I have to turn on the TV, reboot gotham/helix/spmc an turn the TV off again and that is pretty annoying)

I have used an app called "autostart and stay" but this seemed to lead to a frozen gotham/helix/spmc in the morning, and I'm wondering if there is a different/better way to keep gotham/helix/spmc on all the time.

I'm still on the factory 109k firmware b.t.w.

You can expect more stable behavior with XBMC only by downgrading Tronsmart S89 firmware to 108k4 or even to 104k4.
