[HowTo?] Bring HPH_RK3288_ROM_v_1.2 to a ENYBOX or ENY-CLONE

Hey guys, I dont want to spam the thread of mo123 anymore and also I am little bit confused about the widespread information.

So I own a ENY-BOX Clone:
Chipset: RK3288
PCB board: ENY-Q8P-V10
Seller/Shop: ShenZhen HiDeer Technology Co.,Ltd
Label: OTT TV BOX RK3288 Quad Core Model: EKB328

Perhaps we can bring mo123's rom to run before, else I give it the person with this stock-rom tonight (a little xmas present).

So what happens:
Oldouse and I try to flash HPH_RK3288_ROM_v_1.2 to this device (ENY-Q8P-V10).

Would this rom work with enybox clone ekb328?

Yes, if you use your boot, resource & kernel.img.
Can extract it with the flash tool.

You have to download the stock ROM of your device.
Then download my ROM with flash tool.
Then use the 2nd or last tab of the flash tool to 'unpack' the update.img(stock ROM).
Then copy the unpacked boot,resource & kernel into my ROM's rockdev/Image folder, replacing the 3 image files already there.
Then flash normally by 'lowerformat' and 'run' on the first tab of the flash tool.

I have created upgrade.img replacing those 3 files, but then I had to flash device in mask mode cause it got stuck at "testing" during flash operations

It would be nice to mix your rom with this firmware http://pan.baidu.com/s/1pJqgM4V but android tool can't extract it.

Try flashing the images separately, also use misc.img from your stock ROM.

Will not mix buggy firmware, why they name firmware update and not device name?
99% of people will not even know about this firmware and flash it to the wrong device.

So I try the same and get also into kind of brick and have to do maskrom mode:

I load your HPH RK3288 v1.2 2014/11/17 plus the 2GB Parameter file for 8GB Box
Then I try to flash it. Like you decribet here:

After 30minutes nothing happens, just "Testing device" was at status field.
So I log off and log in.
Every flasher now stop at: "Testing device"
Also the RKBatchTool.exe when I try to flash the stock-rom. :-(

THX, it worked after some pm's with oldhouse.

So it is the black arrow you should count to 7-8 pin (only fpr ENY EBK328 clone device):

-connect only usb
-start Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7 as admin
-PIN the 7 & 8 connectors
-Then when you did this, connect the power cable
-Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7 should show you instead of an green device label a blue device label
-If is is blue you can simply flash yur stock rom again

We know that this device is not best (you show us here) but did you think you can told us how we can run your rom on our device? What did we wrong?
Stock rom is this here. (source: ENY2005) Or this older one.

Try to flash the whole ROM again, but use this misc.img file instead.

Then try flashing your stock kernel,resource.img back for wifi and compatibility.
If this doesn't work, the manufacturer of your device might be causing some problems, they locked their firmware on their AMLogic boxes so you can't use it on other boxes or clones and also not other firmware on their boxes. Maybe the same is happening now.

Okay, now I a little bit confused.

I load my stock rom again.

I load New: HPH RK3288 v1.2 2014/11/17 Here or Here

Start HPH_RK3288_ROM_v_1.2\AndroidTool_Release_v2.3\Andr oidTool.exe

Put a thin pin into the recovery hole and press power some seconds to bring my box into recovery mode to be able to flash a rom ort parts of it.
5.
So I copy boot, resource and kernel image from step 3 extracted process:
HPH_RK3288_ROM_v_1.2\AndroidTool_Release_v2.3\Outp ut\Android\Image
to (replace it!)
HPH_RK3288_ROM_v_1.2\rockdev\Image

So I download http://www.mediafire.com/download/5j...c_wipe_all.img , renamed it to "misc.img" and copy&replace it here:

And what now? Should I flash the hole rom from mo123 an then the other parts and the special "misc"???
I TRY THIS NOW and do MASKROM IF FAIL:

Instructions
Connect OTG cable to box and PC.
Hold paperclip/toothpick into reset hole while connecting the power to box.
It should now connect. If not reinstall the drivers and try again.

1. Unzip with 7z (I did allready)
2. Use the first tab of AndroidTool v2.3 to select the Images to flash from the ROM.
(Already set-up by default)
Default is 4GB Userdata, but can be replaced with updated above parameter files.
3. Click 'LowerFormat'
4. Click 'Run' to flash the ROM
5. Wait 5 minutes
6. Unplug device from PC.
7. Connect to display.

Afrer plug of usb cable from otg port, I can close AndroidTool 2.3:

No I have to do Maskrom. :-(

Try to flash the custom files in muskrom-mode to bypass the test-phase, but got no success:

Try to flash wasser v2.0.3 ROM from Beelink forum.
You use the 2nd tab of flash tool and just say upgrade after selecting firmware with firmware.

After you flash and it gives you an error as previously or flashing fails, then try eraseflash and flash/upgrade again but only if upgrade doesn't work.

If this firmware also don't start then your device is locked.
Would try to get rid of it and buy new device.
Nagrace has 2GB RAM/16GB ROM device with airmouse and DHL delivery for $149 on aliexpress but only 4K @ 30fps because it also has HDMI-IN. Other device without HDMI can have 4K @ 60fps.

I only flashed WASSER ROM like you told me, I DO NOT FLASHED THIS ROM with my boot,resource & kernel img files from my stock-rom.

Unpack wasser ROM and replace his kernel,resource.img with your stock ROM and flash individual parts from first tab of flash tool and see if it works.
