Boot Loop - MK809 III - Help Needed

    Boot Loop - MK809 III - Help Needed

    I am stumped, please help.

    I bought a MK809III, it has the RK3188-T and the WIFI/Bluetooth chip rtl8723bs.

    When it arrived it booted fine but the wifi was weak, it was not rooted so I loaded a rom. (Finless 2.0) The rom loaded fine, but it would get stuck at the penguins boot logo or reboot when the penguins appeared. I have flashed this thing 100 times with about 30 or more different roms. All the roms flash saying success, and every rom I try the stick reboots as soon as the first logo appears for that rom (could be the penguins, smarttv logo, android box logo). I am about to huck it out the window....sigh.

    Does anyone know what the issue could be? I also added photos of my device if that helps any. Thanks.

    Did you try this? You have the same stick I do, this works on mine very well.

      Hi, yes I did already try this one from your link MK809III,UH007B_8723bs_4.4_1080_20140924.rar... same thing just keeps bootlooping.

      How did u load it? I tried both the RKBatchTool 1.6 and 1.7, I load the file then click restore.

        Same way, or upgrade. Not sure if it makes a difference, but you can try both ways.

        You may want to use the finless tool to Erase IDB, then the Rockchip 1.6 Batch Tool to flash the ROM. If you are getting a boot loop in all cases, it may be another problem you're having.

          And I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but you appear to have a CX-919. The boards are the same, I think, but you may be having a problem because of that.

            I managed to get the ROM loaded and its not rebooting! Sadly, I have no idea how though..... I loaded it a dozen times and this time it decided to take.

            I notice the WIFI is very fast then suddenly goes terriblly slow.... are u having any issue with the WIFI, was there a patch or fix for it?

              I ran into boot loop a couple of times with my MK809III with 8723bs wireless. I forgot what I did to fix at first but on the 2nd time, I held the reset/back pin when plugging in power. This will cause the stick into recovery mode. I think it didn't like certain files in the user partition and the recovery mode force it to re-initialize the user partitions.

                  Hello, my first post here. I've been trying numerous ROMs and have ran into the same issue. I can't get the device to stop booting. It's the exact same device as arcadezz's. At this point I'm almost willing to smash it with a hammer and take my losses.

                  Oh, and I can't get it to go into recovery mode. It goes to flash mode just fine and flashes flawlessly.

                      I could kick myself for not backing up first. I'm trying to install this 1080 rom, but the antutu result in the next thread are lower than what I got with stock (KK 4.4.2, 720p, around 22-23K antutu)

                      I feel so dumb for not backing up.

                      I just tried mask mode, wipe flash and upgrade and same result (boot loop). Just tried reflashing and same result.

                      If anyone has link to stock ROM, PLEASE post it!

                          Downloading now. I've been using the firmware for board 5_2 and everything works except the only USB working is the large one.

                          I can get a root shell on that one with adb wireless (no rooot) from play store but have been unsuccessful in getting root to work for android.

                          Kingo is how I rooted the original FW and it won't work over wireless adb.

                          I'll let you know if this one works.
