    Can Armada firmware be installed on our M8

    Hi All, was searching the internet and found Armada rom what they call pure Linux box. But it is the m8 box with the exacte same spec.
    I was wondering if it will go on flashing the rom om my M8 (Square) box ?

    Their android rom has interlacing problem ,Linux is not available to download...

      Thanx for the fast reply, i understand that it is posible to install it. Got my hand on armada codered rom. I Will Try it when i get home 😊😊😊

        Unless I'm mistaken, Code Red is the launcher that comes with their Android rom. For Linux, you are better off with CodeSnake's OpenElec on your M8 because it implements HDMI-CEC in full. Pure Linux doesn't at all.

          Yeah thanx, dont bother of there linux firmware - but found an android firmware with the codered launcher- this is JUST a GREATE launcher...

          If any have the courage to try it out before I get home - Seems like its gonna take a while before iam home...

            Launcher is available @playstore ... app icons are too small other than that nothing special + xbmc video interlacing problem is there for you...

              hmm ok thanx for the info -- bumb, is it really so bad, I was so eager to try it out ...

                  Although I'm not 100% sure nope ... Armada rom is quite old dated 20140912

                    Well finless is using the July rom as far as I know. The kernel doesn't usually change anyway its just usually customizations. The interlace problem is more an xbmc thing though. I used a test build of kodi 15 and have no interlace issues yet even with sd since using the test build of kodi. I'll try the final and see how that goes

                      Ok, I couldn't resist and installed the Armada rom. Boy your right about the interlace problem, it was Big time.. Back to Justme 1.6.
                      Right now i have the MINIX launcher apk that I install over Justme rom 1.6 wich does not have an launcher.
                      Any one have succes installing the SUNui Launcher... It looks SO Awaysome... tried everything even changed the DPI but still no go, it crashes upon start...

                          I've extracted the armada pure Linux firmware with TWRP. But it breaks the auto update for the firmware when restored to another box.
