Some work under the hood and some cosmetic changes, I'm liking this Android TV interface, specially because with this build you can install other apps and you're not limited like the nexus player (that doesn't even have a web browser right now)

Just a note for those of you that are going to try one of these Lollipop based roms (ATV or CM12), if you use xbmc / spmc / kodi, don't use its button to exit the app but just click "home" on the remote, because there's something going on between xbmc/kodi and lollipop audiosystem that make the app FC while it performs the exit task, it's harmless and only cosmetic but to avoid it just quit it pressing home.

Also, Kodi v14 currently has a bug on 8726mx if the display is set at 1080p, in that case the video is truncated and zoomed, no problem if you're using a 720p resolution, otherwise you can use SPMC or XBMC Gotham that came with WeTek OS (link to apk).

BTW, XBMC/Kodi will complain about not gathering root capabilities, they don't work fine with Koush's SuperUser, the app will still work because I already set the permissions correctly but it will delay the start, I suggest you to install SuperSu from the Store (search it on the browser and open the link in Play Store because the limited Android TV Store doesn't show it), run the app and let it update the su binary (choose the normal way, not twrp/cwm one, the regular will just work fine).
No problem if you're using SPMC because doesn't ask for root permissions.

Yeah, and good thing of WeTek that they have own development, so things are really optimized and running smooth.

Guys what I can tell you from WeTek is that they are really helpful and cooperative, something that never happened to me while I was building aosp roms for tablets in this years.

My 2 cents is that if you need a media center with casual gaming capabilities the Play is a great choice, specially because of the aftermarket support (it's easy getting the manufacturer code, just build it with a fancy skin on it, somebody would say "lipstick on a pig"...), right now I don't even feel the need for h265, first because 4k is just useless to me (my main tvs are just hd ready btw, plan to get a fhd one next year since the backlight of the bigger one is getting weaker) and it's not even been standardized, so everything can still happen.

Different story if you need a gaming platform but, seriously, I'd rather spend some money on a pc and getting the games on steam sales

Thank you very much, btw this release, among other things under the hood adds support for SuperSU (since CM's SuperUser doesn't play nice with some applications), if you install SuperSU from the Play Store on a CM build you'll lose the "Superuser" link from Android's Settings, now it detects if there's SuperSU installed and links that one instead.

One more thing if you're going to install SuperSU, like I told you just install it from the Store and let it update the "su" binary, after the reboot open SuperSU's settings and make it a system app (it will ask for a reboot, do it) and choose the option to add a script for surviving updates, in that way when you flash a new build that script will automatically restore SuperSU overwriting CM's Superuser.

With today's modification you can choose the option to hide SuperSU's icon since you can access it from Android's Settings (and so you won't have it in the drawer/home)

In case I might consider shipping the roms with SuperSU instead of Superuser but I don't like going too far away from the original project and the choices of the team
