    Good news! This ROM worked perfectly in my MK809, it is very similar to original ROM! Now I do not have a paper weight! \ o / Now I need to figure out how to release the root access this ROM. Do you have any suggestions? Again, thank you for sharing this ROM without it would be lost ...

        Hey, I'm glad it helped you. I was super lost before I found it, too. I bet I tried about 30 different ROMs that fit this hardware description before I found this one, which appears to be an updated stock ROM.

        With the original to get root I had to use kingo root. Available at kingoapp.com super easy.

        Cheers,

          Ok, I'll try to kingo-root! You simply plug the OTG port on the computer running the software? Or you need to press the reset button at connection time? Thank U!

          Cheers,

              Did the OTG port work for you for ADB with this ROM?

              Yours is for sure the 5.1 version?

              I can't get adb working on the otg port of mine. Actually I can't get anything to work on the otg port. It's like it's not even there.

              I'm wondering if there is maybe a hardware change between 5.1 and 5.2(this ROM is for 5.2) which switches the power micro USB port and the otg micro USB port, but haven't been able to test it because I'm in las Vegas with my wife's family until tomorrow night.

              I have been able to get a root shell using wireless adb for non-root users from the play store, which is weird. If I type adb shell, then I get the # shell prompt and check user it's root. I haven't figured out how to manually install root yet. Su is installed by default but doesn't work for android apps, only for adb.

              I tried flashing cwm to recovery with dd and then using the supersu install zip to install root, but afterwards only cwm would boot.

              Before I flashed cwm I tried using adb reboot-bootloader but the otg port still would not connect, fastboot as well. I tried using adb reboot recovery a couple times and both times it hard reset with no prompting.

              I really wish I had backed up the stock ROM. If anyone has it I'd love to go back to it.

              Cheers,

                Good trip

                In the worst cases can sell your MK809 in Rick Harrison store and spend all the money in a casino. hahahaha

                I found no problem with my root access, I'm currently trying to find a linux version for my MK809.

                  Something I found in my MK809 is that even though you select the screen resolution in the configuration menu at 1080p (1920x1080-60hz), to run programs as CPUZ it is still identified as 1280x720 (720p) the same happens in programs such as you tube where maximum resolution supported is 720p. Do you know any solution to this problem?

                    I think it's always going to be just upscaled 720p with this ROM. Someone mentioned in another thread that videos in SPMC were only occupying a corner of their screen. I have this problem as well. The fix ended up being to add a line to the build prop, something like sys.fake.screensize=1920x1080 or something similar to that.

                    Check out the last couple pages of the spmc thread I think.

                    I didn't actually use it, just changed the setting back to 720p and all the videos were full screen again. I figure what's the point in running faked out 1080p if it's really 720p. I dunno possibly I misinterpreted that.

                    Hope this helps.

                    Cheers,

                      Ok, I located this code in topic SPMC:

                      sys.ui.fakesize = 1920x1080
                      use.video.overlay=1

                      and changed:
                      ro.sf.lcd_density=160
                      to
                      ro.sf.lcd_density=240

                      I edit the build.prop file in the system folder, right? Does solves the limitation youtube?

                      Thanks!

                        Yes it's /system/build.prop, I can only say try it and see, because I haven't tested it.
