    Bricked Sumvision Cyclone X4?

Hi guys, hope someone can help me out!

I've flashed a ROM to my X4 and when it boots up I just get a black screen with the time and wifi symbol at the top right of the screen.
On a connected USB keyboard I can press a few shortcuts to get various things up, like WindowsKey+A for the calculator but I cannot access any settings or apps menus by pressing their respective shortcuts.

I cannot flash the stock firmware back as when the box is booting up it is not recognizing the keypresses on the stock remote control to get in to recovery.

There is a button on the board which I believe is the reset button, I have prepped a bootable SD card with the stock bootloader.img file (renamed to uboot.bin) and also copied the required ROM files over to the card. When holding the reset button in, the device will not boot up from this card. I have tried three cards in total, all with the same effect.

The ROM I flashed was this one:

Is there anything else I can do to try and revive this device?

    Thanks

Can you plug the device into your lan or router and get an IP address? Check your routers attached devices in the web gui and see what the IP is. Hopefully it picks up and ip and hopefully ssh is enabled. If so you should be able to ssh in and 'reboot recovery'.

    Let me know.

Hi guys, first post. I have the same problem. I flashed this rom:

It loads up and initially appears to be ok. But then the screen goes on and off randomly, and when I try and play anything it is really slow and unwatchable. Also the main reason I flashed it was because i wanted dts-ma and true-hd passthrough to my onkyo receiver, which the factory rom does not hav. This version of kodi appears to have the option but I get no sound.

Now I have the same problem that I can no longer flash another rom to it - I can ssh into it but issuing a 'reboot recovery' at the shell prompt just reboots the box, the reboot command doesn't have a recovery switch. help!

Try locating a the factory recovery.img file and placing that on an sdcard formatted in fat32. Access shell and issue reboot recovery. See if it then reads the recovery from sdcard. Without an OTG port, I'm not sure what else you could try. As far as I am aware, you need an OTG port to use the USB burning tool.
