    CS918 2_6 boot/flash problem

    hi got this box CS918 v2_6 20140929 and it worked ok...suddenly it started rebooting..and now it wont boot up... have only red light for couple of sec and no signal on TV. tried to otg flash but won't recognise ! when i plug on to pc the power red light stays on! tried to contact supplier .....no reply!!! can i flash from sd? should i use as a paper weight?

    No way to flash via SD card...

      now seller sent me restore file.... thanks but can't get to flash mode so ....USELESS Chinese !!

      I read of some "MASK ROM MODE" i managed to open box and have like an Aluminium Heat Sink attached to one chip... i think that is the NAND right ??

      Anyone know how to do "MASK ROM MODE" for CS918 ? some guide maybe ?

          Also i managed to enter in maskrommode but can't erase nand or flash image

          any ideas of working software?

            NO, that's the rk3188 (the SoC)... The NAND is the one other big chip

              yeah Nand is the other Big Chip next to the chip under the Alumn Heatsink... the Nand Chip has a lot of "accessible" wire points on each side and i short circuit the 7-8 i think to get into MaskRom mode.

              Now my problem is that i can't do anything from here ... can't erase IDB, can't flash ...everything i try i get an erroror Fail

              I also can't get my box in flash mode ... so in RKTool i get Blue Button only !

              Any ideas?
