xbmc closing after launch..Best version of xbmc/Kodi to use and where to get it?

Having some troubles launching xbmc lately, it closes a few seconds after opening but the superuser 'granted' requests still continues to come up... I've cleared the cache and data to try and start from scratch but the problem still remains

The version is 13.1 .I know its meant to be modded for the m8.

What do I need to do to get it back up and running? I was using the Droidsticks wizard before it stopped. (W.zip)

i'm running the finless 1.8 rom


Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!!

So so would you suggest I re flash the finless rom if I'm having issues?

From my experience this is not an issue with the box itself, but the services that run when XBMC is run.

Does the box continue to run when doing normal things such as surfing the web, installing apps from the Play Store etc ?

Try removing all repositories and addons, and launching XBMC again. I've found it is a few certain addons, that I assume I cannot mention on this forum

try oman 13.2 or spmc from koying not sure why you still using 13.1 with bugs in it

Do you by any chance have iStream and it's repo's installed? There was an issue with the iStream repo which caused XBMC to crash. Mikey made a fix for it, but you need to install a fix to make it work.

I made it work by doing the following:

1. Delete the .XunityTalk Repo
2. XBMC > System > Addons > Install from ZIP > Xunity (or whatever your source is named) > install Crash_Fix.zip
3. XBMC > System > Addons > Install from ZIP > Xunity > Install Xunity_Repo

XBMC will now update and fix iStream and the repo to stop it from crashing.
