dead Beelink M8 (round)? no power light on two units

    Hi all,

I have two (2) x Beelink M8 round boxes and neither of them appear to be working. They've been in storage for a couple of months while I shifted house and I've tried different power supplies on each unit and neither of them appear to be powering up (ie: no power LED at the front of them).

I'm slightly suspicious as to why BOTH units would fail at the same time, when they've been in storage for so long AND had different power supplies connected to them (ie: if there was a bad power supply that killed one unit, that power supply hasn't been used on the other device - so why are both devices dead then?) I've tried different HDMI cables and monitors / TVs as well.

Not impressed to finally set everything up again and find out the players are not working.

Any suggestions other than send it back to the online vendor I bought them from?

    Thank you.

    Hi

Check power supplies for output voltage....is it there and correct power supplies.
If they have been sitting around dirty contacts/corrosion be it HDMI or power supply.
plug things in and out a few times.

    Maybe the Y2k15 Bug
    Cheers

there was another guy with the same problem after longer time (also 2-3 month away from home) not using his devices (unplugged (PSU)), but I can't find his thread and if I'm not wrong, I hadn't ever get a positive feedback, that he could fix it and which way...

If I remember correctly, we discuss to leave it plugged (PSU) in for 1-2 days and see what will happen (in the hope it will fix it)...???

thanks guys.. Ill try connecting the PSU for a couple of days and see how it goes.. yeah I've tried 3x PSU, 4x HDMI cables and both devices just don't power on.

hopefully I can get them working again.

ok, I figured it out.. and boy is it embarassing!! I hadn't used the player for a couple of months and it was in my mind that the player would auto switch on when power is connected - I wasn't pressing the big, round ON button at the back of the unit.
