    RK2918 CM10-JellyBean

I found this on xda, there is a CM9 and CM10 ports to Rockship RK2918 .. is it going to work on next8p12? or its going to be hard bricked?

It is working like a charm if using the right kernel and maybe need some fix for some bug. I'm using OMA Jelly Bean in Advan Vandroid T2i 7" RK2918. Trying using stock kernel and kernel from Finless Nextbook P7S. Both is working but the touchscreen mirrored. I don't know it is the kernel problem or the calibration. Still figuring out since none calibration apk working

Forgive my noobness! what should I do to test this port on my Nextbook P8SE? can I use RK29update tool and choose the boot.img and recovery.img from cm10 zip file then flash the zip from the recovery?

Yes it is using RK29Updater, the only thing you need to change is only the kernel.img with your kernel.img and don't forget to checklist the loader and eraseidb first before run (If you want to use the Jelly Bean).
If you want to use the the recovery only yes you only need the boot.img and recovery.img but you must have your own kernel.img, since new boot.img some have kernel.img inside. So if the boot.img you get size about >5mb the it must be have kernel.img inside the boot.img. You must split it first to get only the boot.img and dont' use the kernel. Just use your own kernel.img

sorry I didn't get it well, I think what I have to do is to flash as following:

bootloader, kernel, system, parameter and misc from Finless rom here
boot and recovery from cm10 zip file

then it must reboot into cwm recovery to flash cm10 zip file ... is that correct?

Wondering if you were able to fix your bugs after combining roms?

                  I was asking
Haven't found one for the next7p12. Be nice if we could switch images with the rk29 flash tool like was stated above. But I am new to this and am not sure what images to swap. A google search brings up quite a few results for the cm10

Tried it... It was for a phone or something, the display was tiny and rotation didn't work

Best CM10 I found was right here. Search for NEOCM10. Then follow his instructions on where to find his ROM. Download and have fun.
