    NEOMODE HELP REQUIRED

    Hi All,

I am trying to get my MK809 III working with the latest version of NEOMODE 3.1 Anodroid 4.4.2 Custom Rom.

    Would really appreciate some help.

I have installed using Neomode Rom Flash Tool v1.37, all seems to work fine expect the blue tooth and wifi.

Following a little research on here, I then realised I probably need to install a D33 custom Kernal.

    My specific MK809 III is:

    CPU: Rockchip RK3188-T
    WIFI: MT5931SA
    BT: MT6622N

How do have a clue how to update the custom kernel. Also just to check, the kernel I am looking at is via the link below (MT5931*)

    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...All-(well-most!)

Also is there a way I could have made a backup of the stock ROM before I made changes.

    Thanks

Hi there, You have done most of the work your not far away now,,Download the MT5931 from the first post http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...All-(well-most
unzip the downlod to a safe place on your pc where you no where it is, there is 4 kernals in there 1x SD & 1X HD for tv box & 1X SD & 1X HD for tv stick.
Open Flash Tool v1.37 untick everything except kernal, on the kernal line to the far right is a little box click in that box & locate the kernal you downloaded select the kernal you require
Put your stick into flash mode the easyest way is to use the reboot app https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...s.reboot&hl=en & select reboot to bootloader (flash mode)
At the bottom of flash tool it should say "found RKAndroid Loader Rock usb" or something similar ,
So now all thats left to do is click flash rom it will only take 3 or 4 seconds & your stick will reboot with your new kernel & you wont loose anything on your device your device we stay the same apart from having a new kernel,,, hopefully you will now have working wifi & Bluetooth.

Oh one more thing WELCOME TO FREAKTAB weeman

Thank you for the quick reply.

Is there a way I could make a backup of my current kernel just in case.

      Thanks

              Yes I am.

Will the file location be on the TV stick or my pc?

I am getting into the TV box modding, not done any modding since I had my HTC HD2 years ago.

Do u know of any good beginners guides on here so I can swat up on the ins and outs of modding box's.

Neomode has made doing his mod quite easy using his rom loading tool.
