    Beyond Xbmc

    Hello,

    Can anyone kindly tell me where I can download Beyond Xbmc 3.4 from? I used the one supplied by Tech 1 in one of ROMs which unfortunately I no longer have.

    I've tried downloading Beyond XBMC from another site but it has a virus in the apk. Any help please

      Hi,

      Google is your friend - and it showed up both of the top two links from which I downloaded both. However, when I downloaded them my virus protection went crazy and upon uploading to Virustotal they both appeared as Trojans. I'll give SPMC a try.

        LOL, virus protection?

          Actually your wrong. Its well known that Android has been subject to virus attacks and it makes common sense to make sure that when you download any application, regardless of where it originates that you check it for viruses. As I said, when I downloaded this file my AVG went into freefall and as any right thinking person would do when something like this happens, is to check with other users if they have experienced the issue (after all is that not what forums or communities are all about) and conducting any other research which might not only help them but anyone else who might have come across the same.

            But AVG is
            1. known as extremely sensitive (also e.g. Comodo) because of bad heuristic (and AVG is one of the worst)...
            2. a PC tool (if you don't use the Android version)

            Best way is to test online (e.g. https://www.virustotal.com/en/) and check which scanner and how much detects a virus...
            (OK, for Beyond XBMC, because of these crap*y download links, the URL scan doesn't work...)

            Also Android tools are may be a good/better idea, if you talk about PC (e.g. avast Mobile Security https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...security&hl=en)

              No spam your right. After AVG went wild I did go to virustotal and it showed up a trojan hence why coming to the forum to ascertain whether anyone else might have experienced the same issue.
