Just received the MK808B-Plus, but not sure what build this is pre-configured from factory.

Please help me out if I need to upgrade this firmware!

Oups... where do you buy it ? It's strange... sur it's an MK808b plus official ?

My findings on the MK808B+ with MELE F10-PRO

I received mine a couple weeks ago. Played with it for a couple nights and decided to upgrade it. I decide to go Finless 1.0. As I was doing the rom upgrade I decided to use the new Kodi 14. I opened the zip file to place it on the card for the upgrade. At that time I replaced the xbmc apk file with the new 14 by renaming it and replacing the one in the zip. Everything went fine with the upgrade.
Now to fix the problem I was having with the Remote MELE F10-PRO Air mouse keypad combo. What would happen was the audio would change from HDMI over to the remote USB when I plugged in the dongle for remote. After a bunch of reading I come across an app called Soundabout, Problem fixed.
Ok now on to another problem I ran into, No shift key for caps. After a lot of reading and learning I found the fix in this file root /system/usr/keylayout/Vendor_03e7_Product_0d01.kl is at, key 58 SHIFT_LEFT that needs changed to key 58 CAPS_LOCK. This was done with the help a couple apps, ES File Explorer File Manager, ES Task Manager(Task Killer) and maybe SuperSU helped also. I Was also told Total Commander could also be used for this.
Sure would be nice if the Talkabout app options where in the build. Hint hint....
