    Bootloader locked/flashing possible?

I have a MT6592 (or MT8392, MTKDroidTools 2.5.3 can't decide) device: Medion S8312 (built by Lenovo). Its overall specifications are very similar to the U65GT.

Its bootloader is, as I believe, locked - at least unlocking with "fastboot oem unlock" fails. Root has been successful.

    Is it possible to flash/install a custom recovery and/or a custom/modded ROM?

    Thanks in advance.

No, at least not as I've found. At android-hilfe.de a guy tried it without unlocking bootloader and he bricked it.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I have been following the threads at android-hilfe.de, but their main concerns and discussions seem to be about rather trivial issues.

For what I understand, it is (in general) possible to flash a custom rom with a locked bootloader, simply not one with a custom kernel - or am I getting this wrong?
