    MK808B Plus Problems

    Hi to you all,
I hope someone can help me.

Just received my new stick, quad core MK808B plus.
I have putted finless rom 1.0 on this stick, all was working ok.
Untill i had a power error and the stick was just booting. Now it cannot boot anymore, i stays on the boot logo, in this case google tv

    What i allready tried :

flashed with stock rom with USB burning tool. it says ok, but still it hangs on google tv.
Put rom on sd card, press reset butten, install start, but at 25% the device reboots.
Used trwp flash, same, i can format, clear cache, but as soon as i start installing a zip it reboots after 2 seconds, i never starts flashing.

I dont know what to do anymore.
Can i also do a nand erase??? What pins do i need to use to do this. I open the device but i cannot see what pins i need to use to reset the nand???

Please i hope someone can help me?

Do not owe this, but for what I have seen online, this is what I would try: change the AC set you received with the unit. It is often faulty.
    Let us know

You mean you connected an AC adapter ending with an USB plug into one of the USB input on the device?

What i mean is that i need to put the power on the otg usb port, otherwise the stick is in a boot loop.
When i place the power on the org nothing is going wrong.

This is a defect and should be replaced by the supplier.

I succesfully unbricked my MK808B Plus.

After is tried to install an OpenElec version firmware. (Bricked it from a complete incompatible firmware flash. Only a boot logo was seen when switched on. Stayed in a bootloop). I could not get into a recovery mode at all after this the firmware flash. Almost looked like the reset button was not seen when pressing it in.

BigPappa, we tried today several ways to flash the original firmware back on the MK808B Plus, no succes had what so ever.

I tried at home further and did a trial and error way to fix the MK808B Plus.

First: i have not used the reset button at all with this.

I connect the MK808B Plus with the OTG port to my laptop. On the laptop i installed the USB burn tool.
Selected the firmware in the tool and pressed start.
Of course no devices were found still at this point.

By shortcircuiting some pins of the NAND with i suddenly heard the famous "ding" of windows.
And started to flash the MK808B Plus, took up to 3 minutes to flash.

              The 29F64G08CBABA is being used:

Pins i connected were (counted from the top on the right side) 6th and the 7th pin.

              -------------
              |* .............| <-this side
              | ...............|
              -------------

So i can flash again with what ever firmware i want again!!

              cheers!

Delete it from /system/preinstall or try /system/usr
