Hi guys, i recently bought the M8 Amlogic S802 android box to mess around with. Pretty new to all this but it came about when a friend of mine paid £120 for someone to set him up with the box and config xbmc/kodi for him. I found the same android box for around £60 and figured id be able to read a few guides and set it up myself. The differences between the M8 i bought and the one he got are model numbers, in the settings mine says "model number k200" and in his settings it says "model number M8" yet on the bottom of both boxes it says "model number M8" and both boxes and packaging are identical so im wondering why?. I have seen on gearbest that there are two M8 boxes one being the cheaper due to lower manufacting costs and material and it looks like both the boxes are the cheaper ones. But how come they are different.
Also he has the extra option of "usuer manual" in the settings. So far i have the latest kodi installed and working with a few good addons. But i have read alot about flashing your box with the latest firmware. Pretty confident id be able to do this no problem following a tutorial and having the latest and best firmware. So if you guys can help me out on any of the above questions that would be great.
