Remote is not working after updating to the latest firmware

Hi... I have just updated my M8 to the latest firmware posted here. And now after the installation I am now stuck on the 'Welcome' screen.

When pressing my remote (which is the one that came with the box) nothing happens. I know the battery are 100% working as I was using it just before the flash.

    Any ideas?

    **Update**
i've now managed to get past this screen by using a mouse. But the remote is still no responding.

Try, wiping the Cache, and Data Partitions (again... Again from the Recovery), then re-flash a copy (from USB / SD Card... Its you choice), and report back again. The only way that I know of that this could be a problem is if you, or someone else had tried to mess with the remote.conf. Thus causing it to fail. The simplest way I can think of to test the Remote out, under stock conditions is to put your Device into Recovery Mode. As this Mode will only ever read the Stock Remote. Should you still have problems with that then you should check the Batteries again... Just to make sure. You can also download something called "Rooted SSH/SFTP" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....sshsftpDaemon), and then connect your PC via Putty to the Device
    Code:
    cat /proc/kmsg | grep -v -e CTS_ -e 'need set max' -e gpufre
You may need to hit CRTL+C and type clear in the prompt a few times to get a clean enough screen to see the Remote Triggers. Even if they come up as the wrong code.... (i.e. your remote.conf file has changed!)
