BeeLink M82 - 111K4 - 4K problem

Instead of in the firmware thread, I'll post the issue here. As I have seen it around here and there on the internets, some people might recognize it or even know a solution, I hope.

The problem:

I have a BeeLink M82, latest official firmware (111K4). When I go to settings -> display -> HDMI Output Mode Setting and change to any 4K output (24Hz, 25Hz, 30Hz), my screen flickers, blinks, blacks out etc. In fact, the only mode that will play without screen artifacts is 1080p : 24Hz.

The TV is an LG 55UB850V which should be perfectly capable of playing 4K video (it does so for YouTube) and have tried all 4 HDMI ports but all give the same result. Maybe relevant; on the side of the HDMI ports on my TV it says: 4K@60Hz. So does anyone recognize this issue?

i cant get my s82 to show up on either of my 4k samsungs devices.

I have the same problem with my samsung UHD TV
the screen flickers and blacks out often.
Has anyone found a cure?

i wish,

i had to buy n s805 device.
how did you get your device to even show up on the screen?
i have 3 different s82 boxes on 3 diff firmwares and none of them work on my curved uhd 4k.
whats wierd is i have a old sony also and same thing....
works on every other tv i plug them into.
so right now i have an s82 in the kitchen and my friends have the other 2


this s805 is so slow and buggy.

any tips on the connection process?

my s82 box works great at 1080p on my samsung UHD tv but the 4K modes flicker and blackout constantly.
I tried 2 different HDMI cables so far with the same result. they're both cheap cables though.
I'll go out and get a new cable when I get a chance.
