As must be the case with so many others who find themselves here, it's your very popular Android ROMs that brought me in... Now I'm here, there seems to be so much more too.

I don't have a great deal of Linux/Android experience (although I do have a tech background in IT & electronics), so have a noob question that I'll post in a more appropriate place....

New MOMO ployer9 is broken by my SON & now sitting idle in box .

New to tablets as of today. Bought myself an Acer Iconia A210 while buying 2 Lenovo Idea Tabs for others in the household. One of which is a widow in her 70s that I got started last Christmas with an eReader and she is ready to move up.

My background is I have been a windows programmer for about a dozen years now. Some of you may know me from Helifreak and I will probably be lurking here while I get up to speed on what this site is all about.

Excellent Site!

Purchased my first tablet and it arrive on Friday. It's a Polaroid PMID701C and stumbled onto this site. A true gold mine.

I have already made some changes per information I have found here. Now I'm thinking I'm going to have to get a tablet of my own to play with. The 710C is for my SO. I can't play around with that one!
