    Access the device remotely.

Hi Im using stock firmware on my Minix x8h wth KODI and its going well.

I had a mini PC with KODI on it but to reduce power consumption I switched to MINIX.

Thing is that I would occasionally remote login to my PC o stuff.

I want to be able to do that n MINIX.

To be able to see the android device remotely.

Router is configured for VPN so that part is fine.

    Don't want to root.

Some users on the Minix forum were reporting as using the TeamViewer app, check their web site at www.teamviewer.com, they have Win & Android apps.

Looing like the best option I can find is to root it and use AirDroid or similar.

teamviewer works well but you need someone at the MiniX to accept the remote connection.

I have been using VMLite VNC server on all my Android devices. It is the only one that doesn't require a root. You do have to start the server from a PC or Mac if the device is not rooted. Unlike TeamViewer, VMLite VNC server doesn't need authentication or be active. It can run in the background. You can also connect remotely (outside your network).
