S82 has no picture on Samsung new 4k uhd TV anyone

Hey guys,

Just got one of those crazy new curved 4k tv's and seems i cant get any picture or signal from the box on th tv.

it works on my other 1080p no problem
same with 720.

but no picture at all or connection.

anyone have an samsung 4k products or have had this issue before?

is it possible the s82 devices when connected to a 4k tv need an hdmi 2.0 cable or they wont work?

I also saw you posting at the rk3288 sub-forum and I thought the S82 was a mistake, but now I also see you are also posting her...
The S82 uses an amlogic S802 which is only able to support HDMI 1.4 which means max is 4K@30fps... so no way to get 4K@60fps because it's HDMI 2.0...

Sorry, I don't read that you get NO output, but also sorry, I have no idea why you can't get any output at your 4K TV's...

Look on Samsung site or via tv menu if connected to the net and do firmware upgrade I had an issue like that before with lg if you cannot find the firmware onsite or via live update call the customer support team

bought a s805 that works no problem.

how is it possible that a 4k box doesnt work on 4k v's lol
same issue on sony 4k at my friends house.

i cant be the only one alone here.

i have 2 s82 boxes that are paper weights. a i only have 4k samsung tv's

this s805 is a real junker slow laggy and forcing xbmc only to be in 720p.

aka my patience unfortunately has come to an end.

i miss my ouya.
this s82 device was incredible on my old tv.

thanks a lot, i will flash the firmware with the new one and keep you updated.
i realy need to figure out a better way to simply restore my system and launcher etc, seems every 2 weeks i am erasing it and putting a new firmware on it.
