    Q7 XT-Q7-V11 horrible picture quality

I am using latest official kitkat rom from December 9 and I just can't stand how bad is HDMI output in XBMC. Oversaturated colors, too much brightness but with very low gamma, weak contrast. It is watchable but it's bad.

Is there any way to fix this? What software control works?

    Thanks for help.

I got my brand new V11 box last week.
Box is running an old android 4.2 but pic quality via hdmi is ok.
Can you send me the link to the image you have installed?
Does WLAN/PowerButton/etc. work with the new 4.4 image?

If you share the link to the img with me, i will try it on my box an let you know if there was a change in pic quality.

I was using rom from this thread:

      Here is the download link

      Code:

If I could only reduce gamma it would be OK.

I've managed to fix by editing build.prop brightness from 200 to lower level.

However one other thing annoys me: when device is fully powered off (not screen off) it is not possible to power it back by remote - only by pressing button on device. Is that bug or feature?

I avoid putting it in "screen off" because sometimes it wakes up with non-functioning wlan and I have to reboot it to get it working.

It's insane how this cheap devices have badly written kernel and drivers.

I don't know, it seems same. Wifi bug isn't fixed that's for sure.

Can you tell me about this power issue? Is that present? That after complete shutdown you can only power it on by button on device?

              Hello cortez.

Yes that is correct, on real shut down remote can't wake up device. It seems like stand by mode on device is not really stand by, only hdmi is turned off. So basically only state of device is changed and everything is functional. It is easy to just turn on hdmi on remote button press. Waking up device from off state via remote is little trickier thing to do, maybe is not supported by hardware at all. I don't see this as big issue, much worst thing is bad remote reception,it is completely useless.
