    Unoffical Fork of mo123 - Modded for R28 - Are people interested?

    This is relating to a discussion of the modifications to mo123's v1.2 ROM which I have made for the R28. original discussion is in Wasser firmware thread.

    Am i correct that I have read that bluetooth is non-functioning in the R28 111 ROM?

    If people really want this, I will upload. It is modded to start bluetooth at system boot (which mo's doesn't seem to do, at least not on the R28). Everything works (IR remote, wifi, bluetooth, etc.) all the features of mo123's v1.2 ROM, except with the most up to date video decoding libraries from his v1.4 ROM so that it is possible to use the latest SPMC.

    Which SPMC do you guys prefer? 14.0 beta 1 and 2 are out. I have tested beta 2 and works well.

    Koying just posted the latest, today. 14.1 beta 1 which I have not tested but am about to try.

    Just as a disclaimer here, I won't be able to support this ROM on r28 after this Thursday, because that is when I am returning it to my customer (who I have been customizing it for). My personal RK3288 is a UBOX R89. Also, I have no idea about audio passthrough, because I don't have the equipment for it. I still use an old analog pro-logic receiver (LOL!), but hey it works! Another disclaimer, this ROM uses the 110k4 kernel and does not have some of the new kernel updates for HEVC/h.265.

    This could be considered a sort of stopgap between the newest firmwares until someone gets everything working with the newer Tronsmart ROM...

      True, but the main reason I made this for myself was to keep IR remote working on tronsmart. If a new tronsmart firmware comes out, I will not be able to test changes to see if this is still supported moving forward with newer kernels from mo123 and resource.img and boot.img from tronsmart.

            Right on, well that's enough yeses for me. I'll go ahead and pack it up in the next day or two, when I have some free time and upload it.

            Unless anyone has a compelling reason not to use it, I'll plan on using the newest SPMC 14.1 beta. Those of you with digital audio receivers can let me know if pass-thru is working. I think it should be, to the extent that the latest libs and SPMC are capable of.

            Has anyone tried using the tronsmart 111k boot image and resource image with mo123's v1.3 or 1.4 yet? I would test it but I'm too far along setting up this one I have here to start over again. If someone could unpack the 111k ROM and try flashing it with 1.3 or 1.4 (replacing boot image and resource with the ones from latest tronsmart) and let us know if things like Bluetooth and IR are working, that would at least get us up to the latest kernel. Also, I prefer things in one partition like v1.3.

            If not I'll just use where I'm at, v1.2 with the second, better, v1.2 kernel, newest libs, and latest SPMC. I might try to figure out getting on one partition, too.
