    AC8350 not booting

    Hi Guys,

I have a AC8350 which I am learning is similar to the CS918/MK888 etc devices. I got it about a year ago from **** and it worked well for some time. I rooted it as well and it worked fine after all that. One day it just died and wouldnt show anything on screen, not even the boot sequence. Here are my observations,

    1. The blue light comes on and stays on.
    2. the device is not recognized by the RK batch tool and windows even with recovery button on bottom pressed. Windows tries but fails to recognize.
    3. I have measured the adapter output and it has 2.5 Amps at 5.1 V, unloaded. I think its OK as when loaded it might drop some.

So, I have now turned to you guys to get some help and get this thing going so I can enjoy it again. Any pointers will be appreciated. I have uploaded a image of the back. Also, how do you open the damn thing ? I am scared of breaking something if I put too much pressure.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

hmm, my first idea whas also the PSU (also because you wrote "Windows tries but fails to recognize" which I think means that the PC recognize it for a short moment???), but if you measured 2.5 Amps at 5.1 V (i think stable 5.1 V at 2.5 A ???)...

To open it you have to remove the rubber feet and there you find the screws and than you can open it with with very little force...

I think you will try to force MASKMODE ?

Thanks so much for replying. I had lost all hope.

Any other takes on this ? how do I enter into the said mask mode ? is it chip dependent ?
