I've found why sp sends me an error. There were 2 folders named in chinese.... Renamed and it works again. And there's a new update 1.08

The thing about these MTK ROM's is that I can't possible own every device I support...so I have to place some trust in the Freaktab community for supplying me with proper firmware. The fact that you guys are willing to test the ROM's I'm making is flattering that you place trust in my work. Unfortunately, there are circumstances beyond my control...and beyond my experience/knowledge...and we all must learn together and share the results.

I'll be happy to continue supporting this device with newer ROM's if you guys will continue furnishing me links to the firmware updates.

OEM updates are kind of a pain...but the best way to solve this is to flash the stock firmware...let the tablet install the update....make a backup and send me a link to your ROM dump files.

I would much rather work a pure stock firmware, though.

ROM Features

Back Up NVRAM/IMEI
Back up your NVRAM/IMEI data before flashing this ROM. You can easily do this by:

1. Turn your tablet off.
2. Install the PDAnet app included in the ROM kit to install the drivers. (If you haven't done so yet)
3. Open the flash tool on your Windows PC.
4. Load the scatter file as prompted...it's in the RileyROM folder of the ROM kit.
5. Uncheck everything from the list of files to flash except recovery.img.
6. Browse by clicking the recovery.img line in the flash tool, and select CWM_Recovery.img.
7. Click Download (with Download Only setting on the flash tool)
8. Connect the USB to your tablet.
9. When the flash has completed (a box will show up saying so), unplug the USB from your tablet.
10. Hold the Vol+ button and press power. Your tablet will boot to CWM Recovery.
11. Open the MTK Droid Tools app (located in the ROM kit).
12. Connect USB to tablet and watch for your tablet info to populate on the MTK Droid Tool.
13. Click the IMEI/NVRAM button.
14. Click Backup. (Your Backup will be in the Backup folder of the MTK Droid Tools folder.)
15. Disconnect your USB when the backup is complete.
16. Press the power button to reboot to system.


Now, the Flash Instructions
1. Be sure you backed up your NVRAM/IMEI data above.
2. Open the flash tool.
3. Click the Scatter-loading button and browse to the scatter file in the RileyROM folder.
4. Select the desired EBR1 and EBR2 files for the user app space size you wish to create. They MUST MATCH.
5. Use the Download Only mode.
6. Turn the tablet off.
7. Click the Download button.
8. Connect the USB to your tablet.
9. Watch the activity at the bottom of the screen.
10 A green X will appear indicating you are done with the download.
11. With the tablet off, hold the vol+ button and press power until the tablet powers up...you will go into recovery.
12. Using the volume buttons and the power button navigate through recovery and do a "wipe/factory reset".
13. Boot to system.
14. Your tablet will boot to KitKat. Wait a few minutes for any apps to appear in the app drawer that you've placed in the autoinstall folder. (Be careful not to over use the autoinstall feature. This is for just a few necessary apps like a terminal or file explorer app. You can add the main Titanium app to autoinstall, but the key app won't work this way.)

Hi, I'm with a problem at this tablet. After it actualized to 1.08 version, the front camera has stopped of working, just the rear camera is working. And I couldn't install the Riley ROM because it's missing the CDC serial. Someone, please, knows how to fix it, or should I wait for new updates of CUBE to probably fix it?

Have you tried to install the version 1.07 stock with SPFT and then upgrade to 1.08?

as you have requested, I backed the Stock Rom's Cube T9 upgraded to 1:08 removing all chinese apps.

Your previous rom does not start because of the fact that the recovery CWM you used does not work.
We thank you for the availability to the development of Cube T9, may I suggest the use of recovery TWRP 2.8.4.0

Thank you for the advice, but i can't use SP Flash Tool, because it's missing CDC serial. And the program can't communicate with the tablet because of it, I have already tried to find this CDC serial, but until now nothing has worked.

I'm pretty sure you have some driver problems.

I have seen a T7 with app space modded to 4GB in a chinese forum with some instruction.
That guy has modded scatter file for that.
I will search that "how to" maybe It will be helpfull for us with some fresh ideas about increased app space.

For some reason, Cube has omitted the EBR1 and EBR2 files from their firmware update. If someone can provide me those files from an MTK Droid Tools backup, I can create new ones to increase app space.

The ROM flashing process should go through, OK without flashing the EBR files...you just have to skip that part....for now.

The problem is q when the ROM is installed, and try to boot the tablet, the recovery mode does not turn on. If you installed another recovery if turned on.
But after cleaning the chace, neither will the tablet, makes a mini flashing logo and the screen is black
