Are there any 64bit bioses floating around for the Wintel W8 ? And by 64bit i mean such a firmware, that can boot Windows or Linux, not android.

It is for a different board (intel stick) but the procedure is basically the same, look for the flash chip as it varies depending on the version of board you have and make sure you line up the correct pin numbers.

There are many different BIOS files around so make sure you take a copy of your current one before reflashing (even if it doesn't work, if everything goes bad then later on you can compare your original to others online).

Here is a link to a BIOS file that may work: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-z3735f/page14

All the time, I had problems with the "integrated device", really annoying with my lcd tv, and this cx-W8 never wanted to start without any tv or monitor...
I decided to enter bios, and disabled "Integrated Graphics Device", but I am totally blind now, cause I can't see the bios anymore, none display :-(
Could someone help me to enter bios and reset bios to defaults, with down right right to enter SCU, right to go to advanced tab, down enter to enable integrated or something, or simply the "bios defaults" with F3, but with up or down or "y" to valid? and F4 or F10 to save and exit, with or without "y" ?
    Thanks a lot ;-)
I have the same issue and have not been able to fix either. Does the Blue LED status light turn on at all on yours?

    Thank you so much.
I would say at a glance that you would run into a lot of driver issues and probably isn't worth it. If you really want to do this then look for another PC that has as close as possible to this Wintel box (Z3735f, Lan/Wifi drivers etc...) and use those drivers.

Anyone got a working broadcom x64 wireless driver, since the creators update the driver that worked refuses to start, I've tried everything I can think. I can't install windows x86 as it has a x64 bios.

I have a Wintel W8 that does boot (blue LED does not light up). This happened after I replaced and flashed the BIOS chip (a Winbond W25Q64FWSIG) with another. Previously the blue LED would light up but there would be no display out of the HDMI port.

Has anyone had this happen before? Is there anyway I can debug what part of the boot process it is getting stuck at electronically?

    The board version is: W8 V2_3 20150509

I'm trying to get my Wintel CX-W8 pc to boot into windows 8.1 without a monitor attached. Tried various BIOS settings, plugging in just an HDMI cable, no luck. Any ideas?

Hi there, I've only just bought a Wintel W8 Windows 10 TV Box, it was working fine yesterday, but when I've went to switch it on today, it is sitting on a red light which goes off after a bit of time. If I hold in the power button, then the red light goes to blue for a short time then it switches off. No matter what I do I can't get the solid blue light on. Just wondering if anyone has an experience of this issue and if it can be fixed.

    Hello all,

I just bought a wintel pro cx-w8 on which I want to install only kubuntu 16.04LTS.
I choosed it for the price and the comments on the ability of the device to run linux.
I don't know how to do all the process to get kubuntu running on this device.
What are the steps and how to proceed.
    Need a help.
    Thanks by advance.
