Thank you RISCy, I was looking for someone that could give me a well informed point of view like you did!

Your welcome credinho, but please look around before you buy. I am still new to the Android TV box world. Many, and I mean most, forum members here can give you much better guidance than I. I looked for 3 months before I made a move. Seems like every time I got ready to buy, a new cpu or box would hit the scene. At some point you just have to jump in.
In the interest of full disclosure, I bought the Ugoos UT3(RK3288) 2GB/16GB model with fan. Not because I thought it was the best, I was really leaning towards Amlogic(though video is not a primary factor for me). But I found a retailer with stock in the US and US returns and the UT3 is no slouch. That was important to me. Like you, I wanted to stay below $100US. I ended up going about $30 over that, but the UT3 seems to have decent support and it can run or dual-boot to Linux. That was also a plus for me.
When you select a box, before you buy, look through the relevant sections here at Freaktab. Try to pick a box with a good level of support by the OEM and, more importantly, the developers here(Like Finless Bob, Mo123 and others). Also, No-Spam-For-Me is a wealth of info on a variety of boxes. Getting a box these members cover, should make your life easier no matter which box you choose.
BTW Many of the boxes I mentioned in my previous post are new. So until a few weeks go by, you may not be able to tell by looking at these forums, what their eventual popularity/support will be.
Good luck in whatever you choose.

I just received my Beelink R89, and so far it's wonderful. I was easily able to add the repositories for Chinese (Hong Kong and Taiwan) dramas, and my wife is in Chinese Video heaven. I like some of the drama series too.

Granted, my video needs are lights, since I only have a 1080i/720p TV, but unless it craps out in the next weeks/months, I'd recommend this to anyone. It's just barely over $100, and you can get the equivalent UBOX for less than $100.
