For the size of the icons you must change the dpi setting to 160 dpi.
To do so you can get a App from PlayStore.

The 1.5 GB are for Apps the rest for Data.
I know some space is missed i will fix it.

      Hallo Rainer,

I installed th "LCD Resolution" app and checked my dpi setting on my arnova 9g2 - it is actually already 160dpi so it is not a reason.
I suppose there are two problems, and these are not because of dpi setting:
problem 1 - the size of "home windows" is larger than my 9g2 (~9inch) screen. Suppose, the size is coming preconfigured for the 10G2 (10 inch) Arnova. That's why thje window does not fit on my 9G2. To see this, place an icon somewhere at the very left or right position - in my case the icon is then cut by half - the second half is not visible.

problem 2 - the icon size of widgets only is probably too large. the Apps icons look ok.

Well these, are not real problems, just some minor issues compared to the benefits of your ROM,

The most important issue to my mind is to get the right memory allocation. If I can assist you somehow (any hardware information reports or whatever), let me know.

      thanks a lot again!
      Gute Nacht!

This is a Problem with the Launcher i use.
It is the Launcher from Android 4.2 from Google.
To fix it install a other Launcher like Apex or Nova.

          1. Home window oversized only in the landscape mode. 2. Can someone explain the memory map?

          Hallo, Rainer

I assume you refer to the problem of oversized home window?
by the way - the problem apears only in lanscape mode. In portrait mode the window fits perfectly on the device's screen.
Hope, it helps to localize the problem.

But my biggest concern is still the memory allocation. Unfortunately I am bit new to Android and have not enough backgound knowledge on how its internals are organized.
The only thing I know is that Arnova 9G2 has physically 512Mb of RAM and 8Gb of internal SD memory.
And I cannot understand what different system tools report me on my storage or memory. This just does not fit together.
          Anybody can explain?
Can anybody at least confirm the mismatch?

          Best regards
          shevart

            AW: NEOCM10 for 9G2 Version 1.5

            Hello,

As far as i know the 9G2 has 512 MB Working Ram.
The you got Internal Memory of 8GB.
This is not only for files. Tho 1.5 GB for Apps the Rest is for Files.
As i say change pls the Launcher.

            Rainer

              Hello.

Just reporting about this ROM I've been using for a few weeks.

First of all, it"s really a good job, OS is smooth and easy to use.

Only 3 minor problems to report:
              - WIFI reception seems to be less sensitive and less stable (had a few unexpected losses of signal)
              - Some apps on play store are not available (due to problem of compatibility) whereas they are supposed to work with jellybean os
              - The last one is not as minor: battery endurance is quite reduced, even using CPU saver.

This is it. Once again I think this ROM really deserves at least a try.

It could be perfect with minor bugs fixed.

              Thank you neomode.

              Ben

                  Thanks.

For the battery endurence issue, I don't know if it could help, but I know cyanogenmod 10 provides a "performance" menu in the parameters which allows CPU custom modes.

It's very efficient on my mobile phone, maybe it could be on this tablet.

For the other issues I mentionned, I'm afraid I'm not skilled enough and able to help...!!!

Anyway good luck with this ROM.
                  Bye.

                    Hello.

Just wondering about the missing apps/compatibility issue.

Would modifying the build.prop file help ? I read about this on a forum.

                    Thanks.
