NEWB - How to dump a stock ROM on 4K OTT Tv Box M8 Player?

    Hi Guys,

This is an amazing forum, so thanks so much.

My buddy and I bought identical square 4K OTT Tv Box M8 Players.

    Specs are:

Chipset: Amlogic S802 Quad core Cortex A9r4 2GHz
    GPU: Octa-core Mali-450MP GPU @ 600MHz
    ROM: 8GB NAND FLASH
    RAM: 2GB DDR3

I opened up both units. Identical models M8N, identical boards labeled M9&M8_V1.0, 2014/07/07 , Samsung memory chips.

Here's the problem: He flashed his with various ROMS and in each case they look great, but there is no wifi (but LAN works). I'd like to goof around with mine too, but I'm not about to play around with it until I can get a dump of the stock ROM.

Ultimately I'd like to place my stock ROM on my buddies unit so he can get his wifi back.

How do I take a dump of the stock ROM? I've read the Finless and Nalor's thread on stock ROM dumping, but I'm a little confused since it seems more for tablets and not Android TV boxes.

jump onto acemax or enybox and you can find the stock roms or even on the forum here.

      Thanks for the reply.

But the issue is the ROMS he has downloaded (some stock) all have the same problem. They load fine, work great with a LAN connection, but no wifi We have been very careful to pick out the M8N ROMS ... tried stock and finless, mediaman, and justme.

It would be great to dump my stock ROM and write it to his since both are the same units and bought at the same time...

        GPU: Octa-core Mali-450MP GPU @ 600MHz
        ROM: 8GB NAND FLASH
        RAM: 2GB DDR3

        M9&M8_V1.0, 2014/07/07 , Samsung memory chips
