Where to put roms in emulator

Hi guys, I'm new to this and need a bit help.
I got John snes emulator but cannot figure out where to put the roms or the settings to point to the correct directory.
Do I have to change any settings on my TV box according APK files maybe?
Also will it read roms from a USB stick?

Snes9x EX+ is a much better emulator. You can even enable HQ2x filter to smoothen out the picture with no performance loss. Better options and you can point it to your rom directory.
